Q:What is LOCACLICK?

LOCACLICK is a smartphone application that gives you access to hundreds of awesome deals across Hong Kong.

LOCACLICK is available on both App Store & Play Store.

Q:What kind of deals do you offer?

Q:Is LOCACLICK free of charge?
A:

LOCACLICK is free to download and some deals are free to use/accessible to all.

However, to access/use all the deals available, you need to first purchase a yearly package.

Q:How much is a LOCACLICK yearly package?
A:

The LOCACLICK yearly package is at HKD399. This package will give you access to all the listed deals within the app for 365 days.

Q:Do you sell a monthly package?
A:

No. We only sell one product and that is the yearly package. But for HKD399 only, that’s certainly a bargain!

Q:How does LOCACLICK work?
A:

Each listed awesome merchant will give you 1, 2 or 3 deals (perhaps even more) to be used at its establishment. Just show up to the place and show your LOCACLICK app to the staff on sight!

Q:How do you redeem with LOCACLICK?
A:

The first time you open the app, the system will ask you to create a 4-digit pin (i.e. 1 2 3 4). It is important you remember this pin because each time you redeem a voucher, this same pin will be asked.

After entering your pin, please pass along your smartphone to the merchant so that he can input his pin.

When both pins are entered, the deal is considered redeemed!

PS: your pin can be changed in the app>menu>settings.

Q:How do I redeem more than one offer at the same time?
A:

You can currently redeem one offer at a time with the app. So if you need to redeem more than one offer at one shop, then you need to go through the same redemption process multiple times with the shop staff.

Make sure you have read the terms and conditions of the deal before you do so.

Q:Is there an expiry date for each deal?
A:

Yes. Always check the expiry date. During your membership period, many deals will come and go – so make sure you check your LOCACLICK app regularly.

Q:Can I use more than one deal at a single establishment?
A:

Usually no, but the terms & conditions vary between merchants so always check.

Usually, it is one deal per visit.

Q:Is LOCACLICK smartphone application difficult to use?
A:

No. LOCACLICK app is super easy-to-use indeed. We have spent months tweaking the design making it truly user-friendly!

Anyhow, we have added a tutorial inside the app, in which you can access anytime.

Q:Can I use LOCACLICK app without an internet connection?
A:

No. It is necessary to have a data plan, or access to a Wi-Fi connection in order to use the app’s GPS feature and to redeem offers.

Q:Do I need to register before I use LOCACLICK?
A:

Yes. You can register via your Facebook account or create an account with your email address. You will also be asked to create a 4-digit pin for redemption purpose (on app only).

Q:What’s the difference between Facebook login & Email login?
A:

If you already have a Facebook account, then you can Facebook login. If not, simply register via LOCACLICK by giving us your name, email address and a password.

Please note that both the website & app are intertwined, meaning that if you login with Facebook on the app, you must login with Facebook on the website as well. Idem for email registration/login.

Q:If a merchant closes down, what do I do?
A:

Hong Kong is a truly competitive city and sometimes a merchant cannot afford to continue its business operations. And we apologize for that.

However, we do not refund in the event of business bankruptcy. Obviously, you can still enjoy the other merchants’ awesome deals.

Q:If I go to a participating merchant and I have redeemed the offer, only to realize that the merchant does not accept the offer (for some reasons), can I cancel the redemption?
A:

As long as the merchant doesn’t input its pin, then the deal is not considered redeemed by the system.

However, if you did follow the terms & conditions and the merchant did reject you for some odd reasons, we want to know. Drop us a line at: feedback@locaclick.com

Q:Where can I buy the LOCACLICK package?
A:

You can purchase the LOCACLICK yearly package directly via the app, or through our website http://locaclick.com/web/purchase_buy_now

Q:Do you accept PayPal?
A:

Yes we do. And all major credit cards.

Q:Why do I need to enter my credit card details to purchase the LOCACLICK mobile package?
A:

LOCACLICK yearly package is considered a ‘physical’ product because the vouchers are to be redeemed in the real world, at ‘physical’ outlets.

Hence, the LOCACLICK package cannot be treated as an in-app purchase by Apple App Store & Google Play Store.

The only way for LOCACLICK to get compensated is through PayPal secure payment gateway.

Your credit card details will not be stored in our servers. And PayPal is probably the best/most secured in its field (online payment).

Q:Can I pay by check or over the phone?
A:

Sorry, we only accept online payment for the time being. But signing-up online is easy! It also takes less than 5 minutes to purchase a LOCACLICK package online.

Q:Can I purchase the LOCACLICK yearly package for a friend?
A:

Sure! But through the website only. It is automatically assumed that when purchasing a yearly package via the app directly, it is for the user himself.

Q:How to purchase via the LOCACLICK website?
A:

Simply click on the Buy Now button above. The system will ask you to select a quantity. The reason is because you can buy several packages simultaneously for your friends and yourself.

Once the purchase is done, LOCACLICK will send you the activation code(s). You will have the choice to use it for yourself or/and friend(s).

Q:What if I purchase a LOCACLICK package (for a friend) and I realize afterwards that I used a wrong email address for the recipient?
A:

It’s no problem. Just contact us and we’ll get it sorted out.

Q:Does my friend/gift recipient get the LOCACLICK package right away?
A:

Only if you want to. After the purchase, you have 6 months to send out the Gift Card Code to your friend.

Although we highly recommend sending the Gift Card Code to your friend right after purchase.

Q:Does my friend/gift recipient have to be a member already?
A:

Nope. You can offer the LOCACLICK yearly package to anyone. Although a membership is required to redeem the Gift Card.

Q:Will I know when my friend/gift recipient receives the Gift Card Code?
A:

Yes. You will be notified by email.

Q:Does my gift recipient have to pay for anything or provide his/her credit card info?
A:

Absolutely not. All your friend has to do is create an account to redeem the Gift Card.

Your friend can add his/her credit card details when checking out if he/she is buying extra LOCACLICK package(s).

Q:What if I realize the person I want to gift doesn’t live in Hong Kong?
A:

Once the Gift Card Code is activated, there is not much we can do. However, if the Gift Card Code is not yet activated, contact us and we’ll let you offer it to someone else, including yourself.

Q:Can I buy a LOCACLICK yearly package from overseas?
A:

As a matter of fact, yes. LOCACLICK is a great gift to offer to a friend living in Hong Kong. Show your friend you miss her (or him), wherever you are!

Q:Do you sell ‘paper/physical’ Gift Card?
A:

Not yet. We are working on real Gift Cards – hopefully to be sold in bookstores and other cool shops in the next future. We’ll let you know as soon as they are available.

Q:What is your cancellation policy?
A:

Sorry, we do not refund.

Q:Do LOCACLICK Gift Card Codes expire?
A:

Yes. 6 months after purchase.

Q:Where are my membership settings?
A:

You can access your membership/profile details once logged in, on both the website and the app.

Please note that both the website & app are intertwined, meaning that if you login with Facebook on the app, you must login with Facebook on the website as well. Idem for email registration/login.

Q:Can I have multiple subscriptions under one account?
A:

Yes. You can purchase several yearly packages at the same time. All the activation codes will be listed in your profile page for you to activate.

Each activation code can be sent to a friend, or can be used by you. Please note that each package lasts for 365 days, therefore if you activate (for yourself) a second LOCACLICK package before the first yearly package ends, then you get the remaining days (of the first package) + 365 days (of the second package). All your deals will also be renewed (if they still exist) the moment the second package is activated.
